I'm really happy with the backpack. It's got awesome quality and a lovely vintage vibe. I'd totally suggest it to anyone in the market for a vintage pack.

There was a bit of a shipping delay because of the Covid-19 situation. I want to give a shoutout to Clemence for keeping an eye on things and giving me regular updates. The customer service is just outstanding.

EIKENshop really impressed me with their timely and consistent updates regarding delivery matters. The package, intended as a birthday surprise, arrived right on schedule, and the dedicated team at EIKEN kept a close eye on the shipment, showing as much enthusiasm as the recipient.

I got the Helsinki bag back in 2019, and it sure looks nice and holds a lot. But honestly, I hardly touched it for two years because of lockdown. I started using it more often since last December, and now, after just 5 months, the zip is messed up and torn in a few spots, and I didn’t even stuff it too much. Even with all the COVID stuff, there’s no extension on the warranty, so now I’m stuck with a bag that I’ve only used for half a year. Really poor quality, way too pricey, and not made to endure. Next time, I’m definitely going for a Herschel again since they’ve got top-notch quality and customer support.

The bag showed up and it's top-notch quality - that waxed cotton is really tough. I was pleasantly surprised to find it lined and with several pockets inside, which is a nice touch.

Unfortunately, the main heavy-duty metal zipper on my bag broke on the very first day. Clearly, this was a manufacturing issue, and honestly, these things can happen to any brand. I shot an email to Eiken, and within minutes, they got back to me. They sorted it out and sent a replacement right away. I always think perfection is a tall order, but it’s all about how you handle things when they go sideways that counts. For that, Eiken deserves high praise.

Due to some personal matters, I had to cancel a couple of orders with Eiken just two days after I made them. Clemence got back to me right away and was super helpful. Even though the items had already been sent out, Clemence contacted the delivery service to stop the shipment, saving me the hassle and cost of sending everything back. If I ever need a backpack again, Eiken will be my go-to. Their customer service is top-notch and really personal.

I got a bag, and just three days in, the canvas ripped big time. I reached out to customer service to swap it out since it seemed defective, but they claimed it was wear and tear and blamed me. They even offered a discount voucher for another low-quality bag! Seriously, steer clear of this place!!! A decent canvas shouldn't fall apart like that. Absolutely terrible quality.

I'm really happy with my experience with Eiken (I got the Eiken Rostock backpack).

First off, let’s chat about the backpack itself: You can genuinely feel the quality of the materials right from the get-go. It’s got a robust build and tough fabric, giving it that premium vibe. The exterior is waxed, and the interior features a waterproof layer, making it quite handy in wet conditions. Plus, it has a good amount of space, thanks to its two big compartments: a smaller one for your odds and ends, and a larger one for your essentials (in my case, books, laptop, etc., for my daily grind, but it seems perfect for travel too). Inside, there are several additional pockets, including one with a strap for your laptop. I just want to wrap up by saying that it looks really sharp, and the overall quality has blown me away; I have a feeling this stylish backpack is going to be my companion for over 20 years.

Now, let’s talk about customer service. One word? Flawless. My backpack arrived, but sadly, it was damaged. It wasn’t a factory issue; the delivery box was cut from the outside. It was a mistake on the carrier's part. I reached out to Eiken's customer service, sent them photos of the damage, and within a day, everything was sorted out, and a replacement backpack was on its way to me. I wasn’t told to deal with the carrier or anything like that. The person who took care of my issue was super friendly, quick with responses, and I felt really looked after. Kudos to them!

I felt compelled to share a more in-depth review of my experience because, with only 108 glowing reviews on Trustpilot (as of now), some folks might hesitate when buying from a newer company that doesn’t have a ton of feedback. Every big company had to start somewhere, right? You can’t just have thousands of reviews right off the bat. I truly hope they reach that point one day, and I want to help them get there.

Thrilled with my Eiken bag. I enjoy traveling, but I’m not keen on nylon backpacks. The cool thing about this one is that I can easily bring it along for a weekend in London or Paris, or even a trip to the Outer Hebrides. It meets many airlines' strict regulations, so I won’t need to check any bags, yet it’s roomy enough for those who prefer to travel light, plus it has plenty of extra pockets for your valuables or even your toothbrush. I'm really happy with my buy from EIKEN. The backpack is of good quality. There was a hiccup with the package getting lost in transit, but the folks at Eiken and GLS were super nice and supportive. Eventually, the package turned up and arrived in perfect condition. It did take some time to get my order, but hey, sometimes you just gotta be patient. Overall, I'm a pleased customer.
